Debris Accumulating in the Lake

It seems that no matter how careful you are when clearing the banks of reed and other vegetation, it will always find its way into the lake, sometimes weeks after the work is done.
Here were a a photo taken at just after 09:00.
And now at around 13:15!
Where does it come from? Well, obviously, the wind has been blowing it into the corner near the house this morning, but the original source must surely be the banks of the lake where cut material has not been fully gathered up and once dried it becomes so light that almost any breeze will have it in the water.
