The plan had always been to cover the raw, untreated, wood floor with something that would be easy to wipe clean with a mop. It was on 6 December 2020 that I took the photographs seen on this page. I believe it was the previous day that we had had the vinyl flooring laid in The Manna.

Unfortunately, an issue that came to light as the vinyl was unrolled. I can't remember exactly what was said but it seemed that, in transit, the roll had been subjected to some stretching. I was advised that it should recover within a few days and that heat would help. I think I recall that it was suggested a warm iron be used and that is what I tried on this day.

It was 11:37 and, as I made my way to the cabin in the grounds I took this photo showing the level of the lake was quite high.

Rucks in the vinyl flooring

Taken just two minutes after the first image I am inside the cabin and taking a photo of some rucks in the flooring

I spent most of my time over the next hour or so running backwards and forwards to the house to reheat the iron normally used on our clothes. The next set of photos show general view of the floor in the cabin.

It's now 12:33 and I start taking a collection of photos that appear to show the entire floor.

As planned, in the depth of winter, when the sun is low, around midday the sun is still able to reach the back of the cabin to help keep it warm.

	toilet of The Manna

In the small room planned to take the toilet we had laid some of the spare tiles left over from the re-fit of the toilet in the house.

As this photograph shows, by 12:47, any rucks that had been in the vinyl were now as good as invisible from a foot or two away.

This last image was taken at 12:48 and appears to be intended to show the "loft" or storage area over the cabin's veranda rather than the floor.
