It was never intended to fit mains electricity to the cabin. What was bought was a kit designed to power an electric fence, a solar panel, charge controller and leisure battery. To that was a added strips of LED lighting, switches, 12volt "cigar lighter" sockets, cable and a fuse box.
The photographic record is not as complete as I might have hoped. It's not clear on which day the electrical work started, but you can see that the solar panel was in place on the cabin roof by 11 April.
I recall deciding that with just two LED strips the cabin would not be bright enough. The job was completed by ordering two further strips which were fitted to the other two beams in the roof.
In addition to the lights in the main room further lights were fitted in the toilet compartment and in the loft by the battery, charge controller and fuse box.
There's one last image to show, that must be considered a cheat as the photograph was taken on the morning of 1 May 2025. It does show the kit was installed on the balcony tucked behind the opening buttress by 21 April 2021, but there is extra cabling to power the additional rows of LED lighting and a twin 12volt "cigar Lighter" socket that was installed later.
The battery, charge controller, fuse box and electrical control gear for the power to the cabin. The light switch operates a light mounted just out of sight that's one of a pair bought. The other is in the toilet compartment in the cabin.
