Grass is Growing on the Path

We'd had a spell of especially wet weather, with the neighbour's field largely under water. The photos below come from a collection taken the same day that show how wet things were, hence the introductory picture of the Manna as I approached it.
It's late October and the lake level is high but, as you approach it in the bright autumnal sun, The Manna still looks like the haven from modern life it was intended to be.
Round the back of the cabin the grass has been growing well considering that it gets no direct sun light. The line with no grass parallel with the edge of the path against the cabin is caused by rain the falls from the cabin roof.
Not only is the lake level high, so are the dykes surrounding our plot. Normally the line of birch logs leading to the mesh fence forms the bank of the dyke.
