Flooded Neighbours!

Following the rain and snow over the last couple of days we've had around 11 Canada Geese on the lake. I took these pictures yesterday. Our usual resident pair seem quite dominant and the others were not approaching, contenting themselves with settling on the Ruston House side of the lake, so I expect them to be persuaded to move on as the lake subsides.
Currently the lake level is quite high. The ramp to the island's duck house entrance is completely submerged after the EDP reported a month's rain fell in 24 hours.
A third of the neighbouring plot to the south was underwater, though it is mainly dry today. The owner spent much of the day running a motorised pump while hand pumping elsewhere.
