A Heron Moves To a New Perch

Just before 08:30 and I drew the curtains to see a heron on the bank.
When I first picked up my camera and took a shot it looked as if it was about to take flight.
I zoomed out my camera not know in which direc tion it might go and managed to catch it immediately after take off..
It settled on the far balustrade of the bridge.
