Go to Top Trees Felled around The Manna

I had become concerned that some of the trees on the far side of the dyke were beginning to grow towards the light and over the cabin. It seemed to me quite likely that in the not too distant future damp soil at their base and storm wins could easily find the cabin roof torn apart in the same way that The Gazebo near the house had been soon after it was built. We called in Clive to prune them. I'm not sure that it was on Friday 16 April that Clive did his work, but this was when the photos were taken.

A load of trimmings are seen in the dyke behind the cabin

This first image was taken at 16:16 after Clive had done his work. Most of the offending timber had been dropped into the dyke. I had spent a little of the time while he was on site on the roof of the cabin making sure nothing fell on the roof damaging it.

Trimmings have been dragged to form a pile on the bank.

There weren't only trimmings in the dyke I had dragged a good number onto the bank beside the cabin. Everything was suitable for chipping and this is what was done in due course and they formed the top dressing on the path.
