There's a New Goose Family on the Lake

For the first time since 2013 there are goslings to be seen at Ruston House. Last year none appeared. In 2014 the Geese Nested but Abandoned It after which The Nest was Wrecked.
Perhaps strangely, I wasn't aware of a nest being built or occupied by the lake in our grounds and I wonder if they nested somewhere close along the dyke.
These pictures were all taken around 14:55 after I had spotted the family from the house around lunchtime. They are seen on the peninsula, part of the cottage grounds but out of sight from the cottages.
