The Cooker is Used for the First Time

While The Cooker was installed in September.2021 it was not tested until today. One of the things we had been concerned about were embers dropping onto the vinyl flooring as fuel was added to the stove. Previous pictures of the Furnished Cabin show a lack of any protection provided to the floor. These are the first pictures that show the rubber mat that we hoped would hide any marks should anything spilled from the fire box.
A thick rubber mat is now found in front of the stove..
From directly ahead you can see the reflections of the four strips of LED lights fitted to the roof beams above.
It's rare to feature either of us in pictures of Ruston House, but here was the simple pizza we cooked on the stove.
This was the last picture taken that night. you'll notice that the magnetic chimney thermometer had been fitted by this stage.
